Why the Blood of Christ is Precious

"But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." I Peter 1:19 KJV

Peter tells us that the blood of Christ is a precious thing. Precious here means great value. There has been great value put on the blood of Christ. The first thing I think of is the sinless body that it flowed from. The Lord Jesus knew no sin, but became sin that we might be made righteous in Him. The blood is precious because it is what we are redeemed by. Redeemed means to be bought of the slave market of sin.

Thank God for the precious blood of Christ. The blood is precious because it is a propitiation for our sins. The word propitiation comes from the the same word that mercy seat comes from. As the mercy seat covered the ark of the covenant, so does Christ's blood cover our sins. The blood of Christ is precious because it justified me in the sight of God. The blood is precious because he purchased his His church with it. Everybody that is saved is not a part of the Lord's church. The right doctrine must be taught to be one of His churches. The blood is precious because it gave me peace through the blood of His cross. The blood is precious because it purchased eternal redemption. In the book of Revelation it is precious because it washed us from our sins. Is the blood precious to you? Repent of your sin and put your faith in Christ and it will be precious to you.

"Ere since by faith, I saw the stream, thy flowing wounds supply."

There is a fountain.
